I must say this peddle is great. It's far more than I expected. It's become a big part of my everyday playing and my all over sound.
Robert L.
This was fun on acid bass lines can’t wait try it at a live show
Michael A.
Let's me have a different sound I can turn on or off by tapping the button. Compact effects pedal that is probably the only needed with acoustic guitar rhythm.
One big family!
Seller was awesome! Came new, well packaged, and best of all —-Fast!!!
The digital delay has 7 settings. Three knobs for setting the tone. Mix, delay, regeneration. Easy to control your tone, but the knobs are micro sized. But this is a micro boutique petal, so it was expected. So,get yourself a Negative DC center adapter along with a flashlight and magnifier for making knob adjustments

I just needed a simple slap-back delay for my amplified harmonica rig for that classic Chicago blues sound. The Donner Echo Square does the trick perfectly. The thing is simple to use, whisper quiet and built like a little tank. I plan to get another one for my electric violin rig. At this price you can't go wrong!

Great experience. I wasn't sure what to expect because I was not purchasing from one of my usual vendors. Shipping was fast and the delay pedal is outstanding. Thanks!
Fred W.
What a great price! I love all the different sounds I can get.
Randy T.
Great pedal, super super quiet. Some cool delay options and the analog and digital are exactly the the boss when I a/b them.

This pedal works quite nice and gives you plenty variations in sound. It is a sturdy, metal product and like will hold up . I am pleased with mine.

Great service....fast. Product is great and price is great

The Echo Square is really a nice sounding delay pedal. True bypass and very quiet. Its affordability makes it a very low risk purchase.
Mackenzie
Solid digital delay with tons of options to explore at an amazing price!

Very nice little pedal, it ship fast and the sound is great! Love it!

I'm a Donner fan !!

The effect isn't wild crazy but the overall sound is good. That's what's important to me.

Donned Echo Square produces great sounding effects from tape delay to analog and digital delay and cool sounding sweep effect. It even has reverse and LoFi effects. This pedal is good for every type of music from jazz to rock. I highly recommend you give this a try before purchasing a high dollar pedal of similar design as this may be all you need to add to your tones.
Ronaldo T.
I have had cases of a friend lending this pedal to a student, and the student does not want to return more, I have here the delay flashback of tc and the only difference is that of tc has looper only !!
This Donner Echosquare delay pedal is giving you something to talk about because it's so good.
Jeffrey R.
The Donner Echo square is small but packs a lot of features, I am quite happy with the quality of this pedal, I also have the verb square, and the Circle looper, witch I feature on my YouTube channel, it is fantastic. Donner seems to be a very good product, well designed heavy duty and packed full of features.
Hans F.
Great sound! I love it!
Brad
This pedal works great! The sound is clean with no noise when switching on and off. Lots of options to play with. Solid construction. Smaller than I expected which saves space on pedalboard. All around great buy. I will be purchasing more Donner pedals.
Samuel R.
Love the tone that this pedal produces
Charles R.
Very good delay. It is replacing another famous brand in the effects chain. The seven types of delay are distinct and correctly described.
Dan H.
I absolutely love delay pedals, and have several (one for travel, one for home use, one for recording), and I thought this was just going to be a beater for when I needed to mistreat my gear. Imagine my surprise when it quickly became my favourite pedal I own. I absolutely love the digital and analog settings, and the others can be very fun to mess around with and combo with other pedals to create whatever interesting sounds you want. I powerfully recommend adding this one to your arsenal.
Alan W.
These Donner mini pedals are a great bang for the book. Built well, and work nicely.
Thad B.
It’s packed up right now but it’s so compact and it sounds great!
Jozef O.
Fantastic better then I expected
Emerito M.
Just as I want, it sounds good. May I know my other order the Giant Metal distortion? I don't have it yet.
Chris d.
This pedal is AWESOME!! I was skeptic for one with the size, but once I got to power it up and use it, WOW. So many echo variations, I could have played for hours on end.
Wolfs Customs proudly recommends this product. Can't wait to have and try more Donner products.
Thomas H.
Great pedal! Very versatile. A lot of sounds out of such a tiny pedal. I particularly like the modulation setting. Two thumbs up! Get one, you won't regret it.
Clyde N.
It's versatile and sounds great!
Richard R.
Love it! Especially on the modulation setting. Running my Mountain Dulcimer through it to the Donner acoustic amp. What a sound!
Carlos S.
My new Echo Square pedal absolutely blew me away. I am still exploring new sounds with the different modes and adjustments. Excellent pedal for the price.
Rodger C.
When I got the Echo Square and plugged it in, I was surprised at the quality of the delay !
All 7 modes are excellent. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least, and paired up to the Mod Square it's awesome.
Thanks Donner I highly recommend these pedals you can't beat the price or the quality.

This pedal sounds GREAT! I'm a guitarist with 39 years of experience in all original bands, and this pedal satisfies my needs for a great soloing tone. But this pedal does add some color to your rig, in a GOOD way, so much that i use it as a tone shaping tool in my loop. I bought another delay for accual delay effect and it Dosent sound as good as the donner delay!!! Buy 2!!!

I like quirky things. I also like it when said quirky things cause me to adapt and change directions according to their idiosyncrasies. As a composing, recording, and improvising musician, I tend not to seek out gear that does what I want it to do, as much as I like to find gear that can create colors and character of its own that I can add to my ever-expanding paint box - so it makes me think outside the box. I find the Donner Echo Square to be like this.
— It does do basic echo quite nicely with its Digital, Analog, and Tape settings. With these the character differences are subtle and pleasing, and the box handles runaway feedback of the echoes in a nice way. — Since it’s a digitally based pedal, when playing with the delay time as an effect to smear the audio, it has an interesting glitchiness that behaves somewhat unexpectedly for making odd sounds. I like that. :) — The Mod setting is a nice chorus-like affect on the delay, cool for some lush chord sounds on guitar. The Sweep setting is like a repeating flange or phase shift, always and only sweeping in one direction, starting from dark and closed to brighter and opened. (I have a BOSS PH-3 phase shifter that has a similar setting as an option.) — In having this happening with each echo, it’s a unique effect, and changes somewhat dynamically relative to the delay time, feedback, and how you play. In this it can give some unexpected results. - The Lofi setting is quite digital sounding, and can behave a little like some light ring modulation. This, too, results in strangeness per the settings and how one plays. It’s not a heavy effect, but it’s definitely an interesting one for those that enjoy not-so-typical noise making. The last setting is a literal reverse if what you put into it. For example, if you slide a note up the neck, the delay flips it and slides it down while sounding the attack backwards. — This is an interesting effect, but is a bit tricky to anticipate, as it changes with delay time and feedback, as well as with what you play going into it. It’s probably the hardest setting to master, but that makes it more interesting to experiment with.
— Due to the less than a full second of delay time available one shouldn’t expect uber galactic spaciness, but I was having a blast playing with finger-picked arpeggiated chords in the Sweep setting, while running my guitar first into a Donner Alchemy on a moderate flanger setting at the slowest modulation rate. This allowed the constantly upward Sweep setting of the Echo Square to catch the flanged guitar at different points of filtering, as each Sweep echo at the longest delay time repeated to create an almost The Edge sounding wash, but with 2 layers of filtering.
If one plays to accommodate the colors of the Echo Square, a lot of really cool sounds are here to be found. A longer delay time would be nice, but for most guitaring - for solos and rhythm stuff, it does a very nice job at a tad over 800ms or less. Plus, the short slap backs sound great, and even some weird inside-a-can digital reverb-y metallic sounds are fun to play with. The only “con”, which isn’t much of one, is that the mix knob gets to 50% very quickly at about 9 o’clock, as opposed to the expected 12 noon. So it’s easy to over-shoot blending wet with dry by turning it too far. But, on the other hand, a purely wet signal is very wet, and seems even to give a boost to the delayed audio. This can have its advantages when using any of the non-traditional settings.
In short, for a nice price, it’s a good basic delay for any instrument that needs a little sweetening when not needing longer delay times. But it also has some quirks and oddities about it for the experimenting, creative mind. —— I’m pleased with it. No battery power, but I don’t mind that. These pedals are solidly built and a bargain. This is my 4th Donner pedal [Alchemy, White Tape, Dynamic Wah, Echo Square & a multi-pedal power supply]. I’ll continue to eagerly watch for whatever other curious offerings Donner puts out. The weirder the better ^_^

Picked this up along with a Donner Mod Square. Of the two, this is the more useful, IMO. Like the Mod Square, sturdy metal case, but micro plastic knobs probably wouldn’t hold up to rough use. Note, power takes 9v @ 140ma. So, best run via an isolated PS. No soft switch, so it clicks (tho not audible through the chain). The micro controls are tricky to fine tune. If a low level delay is desired, the Mix needs to almost be off. Repeats is similar. The effects are actually pretty useful. I purchased mainly for the digital, analog, tape settings, but find myself using Sweep (an interesting envelope filter applied to the repeats) and Reverse (not as good as TC Flashback, ie) as well. The lofi voice has an interesting sound if turning repeats all the way off and tinkering with the time. Almost a ring mod. True bypass so tone isn’t affected when the pedal is off. Also, there is not a volume drop when the pedal is engaged (as with some pedals).
Richard
This pedal is amazing! I use it with my mountain dulcimer and it makes the sound ring! The mod setting is so awesome.

After purchasing the Echo Square, I tried many different combinations on each dial selection. They all sound unique and make my guitar experience even better. I watched demonstrations by two different guitar players on YouTube before making my purchase. Both players chose different settings for each dial selection. I liked what I heard, so I bought the delay pedal by Donner. I was very satisfied with the sound.

Like any long -term guitarist ( played for 55 years, started at age 11), I'm constantly in search of the "perfect" guitar tone. ( Or in my case, TONES). I like serious tonal versatility. I actually not only bought the echo 7, but also bought the blues drive after extensive research. Both of these pedals please me VERY MUCH. I also have a fulltone o.c.d., crybaby wah, a couple analog danelectro pedals, and an absolute myriad of old digitech, mxr, and ibanez pedals. I really like the different echo sounds from the echo 7. I set my donner blues drive for a good 70's style overdrive and my o.c.d. for a minimal tube style edge, and when I stack the 2 of them, HOLY COW!! Unlike so many younger guitarists, I am NOT a scooped midrange fan! Sounds too "square wave" to me. I love the sing and sustain of upper mids!!!
Victor S.
Durable and really nice looking pedal box , nice price too for a Digital Delay , havent used yet but so far so good , thanks Donner!
Rob S.
Cool delay effects. Great value.
Ron c.
Another fine product from Donner I have a few other pedals the echo is really cool
John L.
The differences between settings is not huge, but that is fine. The problem is trying to get a blend. The mix control goes from no effect to lots of effect with no gradual increase. I was disappointed with that. Seems like it should not be a difficult design revision.....
Jesse N.
My first pedal purchase did not show up due to an error on behalf of USPS, and Donner compensated me with another free shipment of the exact same pedal. They went above and beyond most other companies to ensure that I, the customer, was satisfied. I am truly grateful for their extra effort and customer service. Correspondence with Donner was fast and very easy. Not to mention, their products are definitely worth it and more! Thanks Donner!

I like the concept of a delay pedal that has many options like this one. However, when you have this many options there is compromise. My experience is that this is a good delay pedal for the price but none of the delay options were stellar performers, all were serviceable and for this price point I think that's okay, but was hoping for more. The controls are ultra sensitive as well, making it hard to dial in settings. A good all around delay pedal especially at this price point but doesn't shine in any of the settings.
Lance S.
I love those 3 pedals I have gotten from Donner. Flange an Overdrive and the Delay have been very good.
I will buy more as they seem very high quality. ❤
Steven L.
Works well! Great price!
