It is a Christmas gift for my son. He hasn't opened it yet! But I did to see it and it looks great. More feed back after the Holidays.

I've been playing guitar for 25 years. This guitar is incredible! It sounds great! Comes with everything you need, including an extra surprise not mentioned on here! I never could tune by ear and the tuner included makes it easy even for beginners.

This guitar was a birthday gift for my 17 year old grandson. It was a wonderful buy for him. Within just minutes of playing it he commented how rich and great it sounded. A hundredfold better than his previous guitar. Thank you Donner for caring about the making of your guitars. Yes I would recommend you to anyone looking to purchase. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. - Patty Chesser, Brooksville, Florida

I was very impressed with this set. It has everything one needs to begin playing guitar, with some assistance from videos. I did extensive research on the best beginner guitar and this was on many lists. Not just for how much extras were included but also the sound quality of the guitar itself. He hasn’t played with it much since he got it, and he is a beginner, but we are both quite satisfied with the purchase and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

I bought a few of the Donner DAG-!C's for our school to use in guitar club. All were well packaged and ready to play out of the box!hey are beautifully constructed and frets filed to perfection. However, they are not my CE-614 Taylor, but at around a $100 they are a complete steal. I plan to purchase more for our club.

was soooo impressed by the quality of the strings and sound of this guitar. I prefer it to Fender guitars I've played in the past. It has a clear, bright sound that sounds amazing. Can't recommend this enough. Probably my best online purchase ever. My first and probably only guitar.

This guitar is amazing for beginners, it's kind of crazy how perfect it is.

This is the second one weve purchased. They are great beginner guitars and come with what they need to start lessons.

My son is 15 and was scrolling the internet, he saw the Donner ad and said I want this. Fast service and great guitar. He loves it!!
WOW
First guitar, and I’m beating the tar out of it! It’s great and I love it. After a few months it has stabilised and holds its tune for days. I practice on it every day, sometimes for over an hour. Found free lessons on internet which are great. A few times the electronic tuner needs to be reset because it loses a note, but that’s no big deal. It’s really a good guitar for me and is serving me well.

Bought this for my 12-yr old niece as her first guitar this past Christmas, and can say that I'm glad I pulled the trigger on it. Went with this due to the fact that it wasn't too expensive for a beginner guitar, and as a brand received pretty good reviews. Wanted to make sure she had a decent guitar so she would be more encouraged to learn and play.
Package came in good condition, and everything shown in the photos was included. Guitar was packaged will inside, and was mostly tuned upon unboxing. I gave it a quick tune before placing it in the included bag so she could play it immediately; glad to say it stayed tuned until she opened it. Guitar bag is pretty good quality as well and not flimsy like other guitar bundles. No issues with the other accessories as well. Overall, great value for a beginner guitar, and my niece has been enjoying it since Christmas!

I’ve had this for about 3 weeks now and I gotta say, I’m pretty happy with it.
First impressions: everything feels solid. The frets were sprouting a tiny bit, but after a couple days of letting the guitar settle in it felt much better.
Neck: tuners are better than I was expecting. They hold well and turn smooth. The neck is comfortable to play on. Like I said, frets were a little rough, but got better after settling in to the humidity here.
Sound: this is where I was most impressed. It’s got a decent low end and a clear high end. Overall great clarity and good volume.
Playability: out of the box the action felt good, and only needed minimal adjustment at the truss rod. Action was good both near the nut and higher up.
Aesthetics: I like the sunburst, but the satin finish was a little on the cheap side. I can deal with it though given how it sounds!

As a beginner's guitar this one really hits all the marks if I'm honest. The most important things are for it to sound good, be easy to play and feel good in the hands. I can say this does all of that. I was actually quite impressed by how it sounded. Entry level acoustics can be hit or miss with their sound quality but this one sounds full and warm. A very nice tone and perfect for rhythm players. It's loud enough to sing over but won't annoy your family or neighbors if played in your room.
The build quality is nice. It feels nice to hold and does not feel like it's going to fall apart. Design wise it has a very pleasing aesthetic and I really like how the sides of the guitar have an open pore finish on the wood.
The tuners feel mostly solid. One of them is a bit tight to turn but still works fine. The other 5 feel great and do the job.
If I have a complaint it's that I really don't like the strings it comes with but that is just a personal choice. I'll happily swap them out with my preferred ones and it will be a great guitar at a great price.

We have really loved learning to play on this guitar. I initially bought it for my son but the whole family has been using it. We've found some really good tutorials on YouTube that have made learning easier. I love the electric tuner that came with it. It really takes out the guesswork. The guitar seems to be made very well and has a nice rich tone to it. It's been perfect for our beginner learners.

I ordered this for my son for Christmas and he loves it. He puts it out like a trophy and his friends think it’s so cool. Great gift and it came with everything he needed.

I bought this guitar specifically for my daughter and her friends to play and learn on. I've been an avid guitarist for 35+ years now, and didn't want the kids beating on my expensive guitars...
There were several beginner guitar packages available for roughly comparable money, but this kit seemed to be the most complete. It includes a padded gig bag, a tuner, capo, an extra set of strings, picks, strap, adjustment wrench and even a stick-on pickguard you can attach if you're so inclined. I'm very happy with the package.
Upon unboxing this guitar, I was pretty impressed right away. It felt very solid and the craftsmanship was better than I'd expected for the money.
The finish is interesting, being very "open" rather than having the usual plastic-y gloss finish that most low-end guitars exhibit. This finish shows flaws easily (and there were, of course, several cosmetic flaws to be seen) but it feels good and actually seemed to contribute to the tone and volume of the instrument. Even the tuners looked and felt solid; these usually being one of the first things companies skimp on to save money.
Speaking of tones and volume, this guitar sounds really good. Very loud too. I was surprised by the volume.
The string action is high, although still very playable. I'd say it's perfect for a "Bluegrass" player, as they prefer higher action. Fortunately, there's a tall plastic bridge saddle that any good guitar repairman could sand down to get better action easily.
All in all, I have to say this is a very good value for a beginning guitarist; or even for a seasoned guitarist to keep around for travel. I honestly wish these were available when I started playing do many years ago.

This is not your grand-daddy's guitar! I'm a big guy and this dreadnought is bigger than I am. As a newbie I was not prepared for that, but I am in love with the rich sound it brings. Please let me suggest that people do some research with guitars for beginners before writing bad reviews:
1. I learned that size does not matter: sit up straight and hold it properly, you'll get used to it.
2. Practice your finger stretches, you'll get used to it. It's not like typing on a keyboard or playing a piano - those first frets can feel cavernous.
3. Be prepared to check your tuning and adjust your strings regularly for the first few sessions - it's normal for the metal to adjust to the proper tensions. It ships with strings not at full tension; they should remain stable after they settle in.
4. If you come from piano or singing background, expect your brain to explode when you discover how many ways to play "one note" on a guitar. :)
The bundle with the DAG-1CS is great - the gig bag is sturdy with a flapped slot being a perfect size for a pocket folder of sheet music; a selection of picks in different thicknesses to learn which type fits your style; an easy to use tuner that has a wide viewing angle; hex wrench included to make adjustments to the truss rod in the neck. It was shipped securely with adequate padding. There are optional set up steps that help with string height (action) and other small customizing that will make it easier to work with but out-of-the-box it does the job. If this guitar absolutely is "too hard to play" then check out some videos about Guitar Set Up... it will save you some stress and stretching. This Donner guitar is a worthwhile investment that appears sturdy enough to last for some quality playing and learning time.

This is my 2nd time buying an acoustic guitar from this brand. First I baught a shorter scale small body I leave in the living room that I still play every night. This came in the same style gig bag that I like so much due to how much cushion and protection it provides. This one shipped fine with no damage or quality issues, it needed no set up as I did adjust the height on my last one to my preference.

It sounds good and feels good for a reasonable price. I've had it for a year and a half now and it's held up extremely well.

After reading so many reviews I decided to go with this Donner Cutaway Acoustic Guitar package, in Sunburst, and I'm beyond completely satisfied with my choice. I was actually quite impressed with the value of everything included right out of the box along with the guitar. The package comes with a decent guitar bag with a thin layer of cushioning for moderate protection, a generous handful of picks, an extra set of strings, a capo, a digital tuner and a strap. Honestly well-thought out, everything needed to start out playing from scratch is here. I'm not a beginner, I own a couple other guitars and have given away a few over the years but I wanted something new, fresh and simple to pick up and start playing more again during quarantine times. This one hit all the marks, and it was just so great to have it all in one place without having to buy all the accessories separately. Most importantly, the build quality of the guitar, as well as the aesthetic far exceeded my expectations for what I paid for it. It can easily pass for a guitar worth 2, maybe 3 times its actual price. The sound is pleasant, rich and full, a joy to play, and it's become a favorite to reach for in my after-dinner strums. I'd never heard of this Donner brand before, to be honest, looks like a younger company, but I can tell they are committed to quality and wouldn't hesitate buying another guitar from them, with or without the accessories bundle. Highly recommended.

As a beginner you do not want to get a several hundred (or thousand) dollar guitar. This one however is PERFECT.
Pros:
- The kit covers literally everything you will need except for a guitar stand (though the bag itself can be leaned against a wall)
- The sound is alright, but good enough for a beginner
- The color is fantastic
Cons:
- Sound is a bit flat relative to other guitars but alright for a beginner

So far I love it .. just learning to play so we will see

Everything came in good state with all the accessories, good quality.

Even though we intended this for one of the girls, we were truly just curious of the quality for this price. We absolutely LOVE the finish. Besides upgrading the strings, the only thing my husband has done to it is polish the frets, and gave it a minor truss rod adjustment. For the price, you couldn’t steer wrong. The accessory pack alone is a great value; I’d like to think it would catch the eye of any entry level guitarist

For what it is, it's a result good guitar. My fiance wanted to learn to play, and this includes everything a beginner could possibly need. I am pretty family with guitars and strings instruments, so before gifting him this, I did look over it, and was actually pleasantly surprised by how decent it is. Definitely recommend for beginners!

I would like to first start off by saying that it’s been a little over a year since I purchased this guitar it still works perfectly and also it came with additional accessories. I love this guitar so much. It also comes with the string adjusters and also the tuner definitely would recommend anyone that wants to teach themselves how to play the guitar or is currently taking classes to purchase his guitar it’s great for beginners and also professionals
