This company feels like it was made by musicians for musicians. Everything I've experienced from the Donner product has been nothing short of amazing and everything I've looked for in a product. I've quickly grown to trust this brand as a company that puts out products they would personally use.
With that said, the piano sounds and feels amazing. You can definitely tell the difference with the weighted keys versus your traditional lower cost electric keyboard; which this replaced. It has a premium feel and is full featured with multiple settings, sounds and instruments. .
It was easy to put together. You have 5 pieces to the stand that are affixed via screws and a couple of bolts, the keyboard, itself is connected via bolts with knobs on them, so you can easily detach and reattach the keyboard to the stand without needing any tools.
The stand is super sturdy and the keyboard extremely versatile. Definitely a premium, quality product from Donner that is travel friendly.

This is the closest I felt to playing a real piano in a while. We had an old, antique style piano back in our old house that couldn’t be moved easily, so it stayed there. I’ve missed it a lot, and had replaced it with an affordable electric piano. That did ok, but at times it was very frustrating.
A real piano has weighted keys, and you can put your entire soul into the keys. Cheap e-pianos don’t do that. How much depth is lost while playing a cheap piano! Also, that keyboard made it frustrating for me to sync music apps, since the sound quality was off.
This Donner piano is a real winner! It feels so close to playing a real piano! The keys are weighted, which allows you to put your entire being into the music. The sound quality is amazing, even with the headphones! The headphones are really comfortable to wear, and the sound is very comfortable, too, even when loud.
This piano is full-size, and quite heavy! I would not recommend using this as a portable piano/keyboard. You need a good stand for this, and enough space.
The quality of the actual piano is impressive as well. You can tell that this is a great quality piece from a reputable brand. It comes very securely packaged, so you can feel comfortable ordering this online.
This isn’t the top e-piano on the market. But at this price point, and coming from a reputable brand, this is an excellent choice.

The sound on this keyboard is really good and the feel of it as far as playing is also very good.
There are a couple of drawbacks. I found the interface very cumbersome. It is relatively tricky to go through the many sounds available. I found I had to keep a spreadsheet to try and keep track of them - ranging from good piano sound - to far out spacey. There are a lot of different sounds so you can find the one you like, but it may take you a while to figure out how to find it and then how to get back to it.
This keyboard also includes features which allow you to play two different sounds at once which is helpful for songwriting, although I can't imagine using the record feature as found on the keyboard to do all the complexities of songwriting.
I was unable to get the keyboard to integrate with my computer software, but I don't have the expensive programs and it's probably easier on those than the software I use. The keyboard is also rather heavy.
I output the sound to an amp and then I tried my headphones and the keyboard sounded really good for either use.Overall I was very pleased with all of its features and feel of the keyboard.

It's a nice piano keyboard but after a couple of weeks one of the keys (middle E) has become loose and noisy. It's annoying and I hope it won't happen to some of the other keys. Time will tell.
Update: Donner contacted me without me even contacting them about the loose, clunky key issue asking me if I had any problems. I explained the issue to them. They asked for me to send them a video of the problem and once I did they offered to send me a replacement keyboard which I accepted. I received it today and I'm very happy with their customer service. I upgraded my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars for their great customer service although I haven't had time to play the new keyboard yet. If I'm happy with the new keyboard I will upgrade my rating to 5 stars. Thank you Donner for your great customer service!

The assembly instructions are terrible. I have no idea how to put the stand together. I'm trying to find the answer on Youtube. While on Youtube, I heard one of the piano guys review the piano and it truly sounds beautiful. If I could put it together, maybe I could find out for sure.

This Donner SE-1 88 Key Digital Piano, Full-Size Electric Piano Keyboard with Graded Hammer Action is an extremely well-made and versatile digital piano and even comes with a stand, pedals, and a set of headphones.
My first impression of this piano was after unboxing and reading the instructions, which aren't thorough at least when it comes to assembly of the stand portion, but it wasn't difficult to figure out how the five pieces that make up the stand are meant to go. I will mention that it did take me quite a while to get it fully assembled, but once I finished, I was impressed by how sturdy it was and how easy it is to insert or remove the piano in case you want to take the piano with you to play somewhere without the stand.
Donner has really made a name for themselves by releasing high-quality musical equipment at affordable prices, and this is no different. This piano has an extensive number of features and ways to use it, the weighted keys feel remarkably similar to the keys you'd find on a grand piano or non-digital piano. I really appreciated the ability to plug this into my computer and use it as a midi controller which is especially useful especially with a full 88 keys, so I don't have to switch octaves.
The speakers are 15W and are decent, you can also use the included headphones to have the audio transmit through the headphones instead of the speakers if you are trying to avoid disturbing those around you with your playing.
There are so many built-in features and sounds that it really feels limitless with all the possibilities for making music with. I'd be lying if I said that I've used them all because I simply haven't, and I mostly use this for making music on a DAW where the keyboard functions as a midi controller. I've also taken the keyboard out of the stand and put it into a case that I bought and took with me to my friend's house so we could collaborate on a song in his home studio.
Overall, this is another impressive product from Donner. This piano and stand are extremely high quality and offer a wealth of features and possibilities for creating music. This offers immense value for everything that is included. 5/5 stars.

I suggest getting the version without the Wooden Stand! Assembling the stand was a nightmare due to its terrible instruction manual.
The Digital Piano Keyboard itself is quite good but not perfect. The built-in speakers are weak and produces low volume output. However, when using headphones, the sound quality is very good and realistic. The weighted keys feels great to use. My music stand/rest had some paint that are irremovable (QC issues).
The digital piano has plenty of programs/settings and lots of digital tones to choose from. I'm a beginner player and just play with the default settings. If I could turn back time, I would order just the piano itself and buy a separate stand or buy the version with the metal stand (not this wooden stand version).

This Donner SE-1 88 Key Digital Piano should have been a wonderful find - and on some levels it still is - but there are enough issues with what we got and how it was designed and provided that we cannot give this the 5 star review it should be receiving. In fact, it required much debate between a 2 star and 4 star, ending with the 3, but I will provide more specifics as I go along.
My wife has been a musician throughout her life, playing piano, flute, and now learning guitar. She's been without a piano for over a decade. She's looked at electric pianos, including the Donner line, over the years, but it wasn't in the cards. I'd recently had the chance to get another modal from another brand and took it. However, that one had only about 80% weight to the keys, therefore, she has been able to play, but with a different feel. She loves that piano, but when I had the chance to get this Donner SE-1 88 Key Digital Piano I grabbed it. Again, she'd looked at the Donner brand and had saved several options in her lists, and with this as full weight keys, I had to take this chance.
In the end, we have very mixed feelings on this Donner SE-1 88 Key Digital Piano.
1. It sounds outstanding and is everything she wanted and had seen in reviews for other versions. 2. The headset is outstanding. 3. The instructions for assembly are not just bad, but they do not align with the parts and the holes that are included and designed into the stand we received, 4. The peddles make a great sound in how they are used, but there is also a loud click that is audible over/along with the sound of the piano and is very distracting.

This Donner SE-1 88 Key Digital Piano sounds excellent. It is everything my wife has read in the other reviews for Donner she has read. She would normally use a standard piano and ideally from a known brand. However, moving as often as we do, we had to get rid of the upright we had and cannot commit to another at this time. To that end, the electric versions offer a nice option, so she has tried many in stores and while we'd love for a name brand, price keeps us from going that route. So would the Donner stand up to the same sound quality? So far, yes. We are very impressed. It is no Steinway, but what is, other than a Steinway?
2. The Headsets are a solid 5 Stars
The included headset is outstanding. She had gotten another headset for the first piano that had outstanding reviews - well earned. She loves the headset and it not only sounds outstanding, but allows me to work in the same room and - other than the weird clicking of the keys not giving off music - it keeps the music quiet and I can work. Would this included version be as good? Yes. It is. She is beyond thrilled and so am I.
3. The directions and assembly are a solid 1 Star
** TO BE CLEAR:
My wife and I each have professional and educational backgrounds that support our ability to read directions (written, pictures) and assemble a wide range of items. Putting this piano together should have been extremely easy. Only a few weeks ago my wife put together another electric piano, by herself, in 20 minutes. The issue was not down to our inability to read, understand, or assemble.
The reason for our issue was that the parts included do not match the directions and hardware. These three elements need to match one another, and in this case, do not.
* The instructions are terrible. We at first laughed at some of them ("Do not place in a fluffy stall or on the ground. In this case the pedals area easily swayed, resulting in skin lesions.")
* It does tell you to check the included screw package - which anyone who has assembled anything knows to do. In this case the ones it indicated we needed were there, but so were other kinds that do not show in the instructions.

Wow! I am loving this piano! I had a very tight spot for a piano, and this one measured exactly the size that I needed. It came in with no dents or dings, and the dimensions that were given were spot on! I assembled it by myself, although I will say that the actually keyboard was quite heavy to lift by myself. The sound quality is amazing! It sounds identical to a grand piano! There are so many features embedded in this piano. I haven’t even come close to using all the features, but for me, there is no need to alter the default sound. It’s perfect! I’m very much a beginner at piano, but i play guitar, and alto saxophone, so I know a good bit about music and sound quality. I have been playing this thing daily since I bought it, and I can’t say how much I love it. I’m having a blast learning. I hope to hang on to this piano for the rest of my life.

Coming from an intermediate-to-advanced pianist who doesn't have room for an upright or grand (and doesn't have time to write a lengthy review), I'm very happy with my purchase. This is better than many of the uprights I played on in school.
1. Piano's solidly built (including the pedals!) despite needing assembly--zero shaking that can be experienced with portable frames
2. Feel of the keys and differential weighting exceeded my expectations--if I were wearing a blindfold I wouldn't know the keys on my piano from those on a real piano

The weight is perfect, and sure, it doesn’t have the character of a solid string piano, but it also weighs much less, is much cheaper, has a headphone jack and many cool instruments to mess around with.
The app that comes with it helps you adjust the sound more but most people will not need this. The piano sounds are gorgeous.
So highly recommend this for anyone wanting to get back into piano playing with something that won’t break the bank.

My wife and I are college students and both play the piano. We agree that this Piano feels and looks amazing! It feels just like playing a real grand piano. The compact size works perfectly for our apartment. Very easy to transport, lightweight and easy to bring along with us when we change apartments/houses.
The Speakers are surprisingly loud! The audio jack with headphones is a extremely convenient feature, because we don't want to bug our apartment neighbors all the time with the piano playing. I can even study in the same room as my wife while she is playing the piano with the headphones on. We have played a couple of times past midnight without having to worry about waking our neighbors. The piano bench came with a tear, but it was replaced very quickly and efficiently for free! EASILY 5/5 stars. Amazing product! Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a great sounding piano.

I was hesitant to get a digital piano since I have largely only played on acoustics and have had bad luck with digital pianos before. However, I needed something smaller and easy to move for my apartment. I was really impressed with this digital piano! The sound quality was surprisingly great! The key tension was pretty good, and you can still get expressiveness out of this piano despite it being digital! Very happy with it so far!

I am so happy with the purchase of the Donner SE-1. I haven't played in years and was looking for a piano. The standard size piano was too large to fit anywhere in my home. I watched and read reviews and decided on this. The sound is excellent and it feels like I am playing a real piano. The quality is very good. The bench fits me perfect and I couldn't stop playing it for hours after we put it together. My husband and myself had no trouble putting it together. All pieces were included with instructions and fit together perfectly. The box it arrived in was very well packaged. I had to wait for several weeks to receive because of back order but it was well worth it. Haven't learned all the different sounds but look forward to learning them. Right now just enjoying the sweet sound and happily playing these beautiful keys. Hope to teach my granddaughter to play in the future. Thank you Donner.

Very happy with this piano in every way. Assembly was straightforward, aided by some online videos. I could have assembled it by myself, but attaching the keyboard to the base was easier with the help of my wife.

We had an old piano that would not stay tuned, so we decided to replace it with this. I was nervous to make the change to electronic but we've had this piano for about 5 months now and it's great! The only thing is that it came with a piece broken but I was able to use a little wood glue and clamp and it hasn't been a problem. Favorite thing: that the kids can turn down the volume when practicing.

I bought this digital piano for myself this year and I have been enjoying playing it every day. This model offers exactly what I want: good sound quality, low effort to maintain, has connection to headphone, and a relatively affordable price. I was originally a bit worried because other reviews had mentioned the SE-1's lower watt speakers might be an issue; but, to my definitely-not-a-professional ears, this piano sounds great (I did learn to play at a young age on my family's acoustic upright piano, so I'm not a complete novice). That said, thus piano was plenty loud at full volume, and sounds very realistic to me.

This is a beautiful, quality instrument that fits nicely in a small space, even with 88 keys. There are many options to customize the sound, most of which I have not yet explored. The piano book that comes with it has many beautiful selections, and the compatible allows you to follow along via highlighted digital music as the demo is played. This has the sound and feel of a high quality piano with the benefits of smaller size and digital options (and no tuning!) of a keyboard. I love it!

I'm very pleased with this purchase. It arrived in 4 days with very well packaged. I was worried about getting a damaged item due to shipping and packaging or a missing items after reading some of the reviews. However, my worries were for nothing.
The quality of the material is amazing. I love the black finish. It sounds better than my old antique acoustic piano. It comes with sound options which is very easy to manipulate. I would recommend watching the youtube video on this model to assemble since the paper instructions are terrible. With the video is was very easy. You won't regret! Also, I contacted the seller to ask couple questions and they were super helpful and on time getting back to me with answers.

It's still not the same as a non-electric piano, but I think this is as close as you can get for the price.

This is awesome. Great sound and feels almost identical to a “real” piano. Much smaller and very classy looking.

I wanted to start playing piano again after 10 years, this just seemed easier then lugging an old beat up real piano into the house and getting it tuned. I did tons or research and chose the donner se-1, sounds and looks great! Its spendy but is worth it to me, sounds and feels like the real thing. It was very easy to put together but you will need 2 people for sure, everything was packaged nice and secure in a huge box. Now to just get rid of all this cardboard....
